We were approached by the owners and managers of a show farm to design a new entrance building for the farm. The site (previously occupied by a sea container) is adjacent to the path leading from the car park as it passes through a copse of pine trees. We responded to this brief by designing a low building containing staff facilities, administration and ticketing areas and a gift shop. There is a large overhang next to the path to provide shelter for visitors buying tickets.

The building was commended in the Durham County Council Environment Award Scheme.
