For a number of years we worked for the management of Langley Castle Hotel in Northumberland. During that time we produced designs for the conversion of outbuildings to eight bedrooms, the development of the lodge to take two further bedrooms, a new wing of eight bedrooms in the grounds, the construction of an extension to take ancillary accommodation for the kitchen, the redevelopment of the top of the south west tower to form an additional bedroom within the castle, and the refurbishment and enlargement of three other rooms within the castle. We also restored the private chapel at the top of the south east tower.

Langley Castle is a grade I listed building dating from the 1300s and every project there needed to be handled with the greatest care and sympathy for the existing fabric, together with close liaison with the conversation officers at Tynedale District Council and with English Heritage.
